This second of four releases encompasses the contents of the Boston Symphony Chamber Players’ second commercial release, a three-LP set issued by RCA in 1968—music of Mozart, Brahms, Schubert, Poulenc, Haieff, Villa-Lobos, and Colgrass. Also included, as a bonus, is the ensemble’s recording of Samuel Barber’s Summer Music, taped on May 9, 1968, but never previously released.
